Ok, so this poor page has been neglected. So i appologize. My last post was in July and since then my life has definately taken me on an adventure. My dad passed away, then I picked up and moved all the way across the country to a small town in QC, Baie-Comeau.
When i arrived it was nice to see that even in the supermarkets, they proudly advertised QC produce and products. In the summer months you can go for hikes and pick wild blueberries on almost any trail. Now mind you QC is very large, so eating “locally” as in eating within the province, is manageable. There is fresh seafood from Matane, we are located where the St Lawrence River feeds into the ocean. It is quite breathtaking. One thing i noticed here is that they are big on hunting. Severed moose heads adorned plenty of cars last month. It is nice to see that people are aware and have more of a connection of where thier food comes from. On the down side there doesn’t appear to be any famers markets. The closest i found was a fruit stand located in a parking lot during the warmer months. I also found a Seafood truck, but something about buying things out of the back of a truck. I am looking forward to when the 40cm of snow clears in 3 or 4 months, and to see what the warmer months have to offer.
Since i am fairly isolated out here, i am going to take the time to do some reading, and review and recommend some books, and refocus what i can do on this website. In the mean time i wish everyone a happy holidays!

This is just something i did one day when i was bored at work.
