Bixi: Self-service bicycle sharing program

Its new and innovative programs such as these that can help encourage, but more importantly make greener forms of travel more accessible.

Montreal’s Bixi rental bikes are similar to that of bike sharing programs found in Europe.  Three thousand of these bikes are now available to the public with over 300 stations.  I think its a great investment, not to mention these bad boys have their own GPS tracking systems to prevent theft.  They range from $5 a day to subscribing for $78 for the year and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!!
