This time blogging about sustainability just wont cut it, Gandhi said it the best “we must be the change we wish to see”. So I am putting my money where my mouth is and my hands upon my handle bars. I am not one for fate, but it was almost this opportunity was meant to be. I, along with a handful of other sustainability advocates, will be biking across Canada on the Coast to Capital tour from June 25-August 25, 2010 from Vancouver, BC to Regina, SK to promote and spread the love that is sustainability. We will be inspiring and reaching thousands of people with our performances and workshops promoting sustainability.
So what is OTESHA? Great question. The phrase itself is Swahili and means “reason to dream” and dream big this project has done.
“The Otesha Project is a youth-led organization that mobilizes and equips Canadians to create local and global change through individual and collective choices.”
To learn more about this fabulous project visit www.otesha.ca but more importantly help me raise the funds i need for this tour (This is a registered Canadian Charity and donations over $20 will be issued a tax receipt).
PLEASE DONATE
Why donate? because your donation will enable me to participate on this tour and in doing so the opportunity to inspire people to lead more sustainable lives. You can also purchase from my line of eco friendly crafts from my online Etsy Shop: BUNNIES AND BICYCLES where 100% of my sales will go towards my fund raising efforts!! If you have ANY questions at all please contact me!!
Have a lovely sustainable day.
xoxo
