Valentines day is just around the corner, and millions of people are buying their loved ones chocolates, coffee, flowers and jewlery. If you are going to purchase something for that someone special in your life, I challenge you to take this opportunity to not only show the person you love you care, but show them that you care about WHO, HOW, and WHERE your gift came from, and that you cared enough to make an ethical choice to give your loved ones fair trade products.
EWB have gone out and created an event for valentines day to spread awareness about fair trade by utlizing this holiday for individuals to purchase certified fair trade gifts. Please spread the word, and joing this facebook event. Don’t know where to get fair trade products? Or not sure what kinds of products are out there check out transfair for more ideas. You don’t have to go searching all over, you can always pick up a dairymilk fair trade bar in ANY store, just search for the logo.
I also want to say that don’t feel you need to buy purchase something to make this day special. The best thing you can do this valentines day is tell the people you love how much you care about them, and how you appreciate them. In the next few days Ill be posting some craft ideas to make for your hunny bunny.
