Baie-Comeau, has been my home for the last 8 months. It is located in the Côte-Nord (northern shore) along the St Lawrence River. It is true that the first 6 months of my life here was covered in snow, and that the lawns were piled so high with snow, it was taller than the houses on the street. But the region does not let snow get in the way of appreciating the beauty of this winter wonderland. Snowshoeing was created for places such as these. Now with the warmer months coming around, sea kayaking, canoeing, and cycling begins. I have come to appreciate how in tune with the seasons this town is. I tell my students all the time, how luck they are to live in a place as beautiful as this.
